A Year of Impact: How We’re Making Mental Health Matter

What a year it’s been! At Mind Blank, we believe every step toward mental health awareness and resilience is worth celebrating, and this year has been nothing short of transformative.

Our Year 1 Impact Report is filled with stories, milestones and meaningful change that you—our schools, workplaces and communities—helped make happen.

Together, we’ve touched thousands of lives, sparked countless conversations and taken real action toward a mentally healthier future.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve achieved together and how you can continue to be part of this incredible journey.

4,500 young lives reached—and counting

This year, we’ve had the privilege of working with over 4,500 children and young people across Australia.

From cities to remote communities, our workshops gave students the skills to recognise their emotions, ask for help and support each other through life’s ups and downs.

In regional NT alone, we saw a 60% increase in mental health literacy and a 100% reduction in discomfort around discussing mental health. That’s the power of education and connection in action!

Every story and every statistic is a reminder that change is possible—and it starts with conversations in safe, supportive spaces.

Making mental health education fun and memorable

Mental health matters, but it can be a tough topic to talk about. Using Forum Theatre—an interactive, hands-on approach—we create safe spaces where participants can explore real-life mental health scenarios and experiment with different solutions.

It’s a method that works.

Why? Because it’s:

  • Relatable: we focus on real challenges people face every day.
  • Interactive: participants don’t just watch—they contribute, reflect and learn.
  • Memorable: by using humour and storytelling, the lessons stick.

One participant shared, “I walked away not just with knowledge, but with tools I could actually use.” That’s exactly what we aim for.

Why this matters now more than ever

Did you know, that in the previous 12 months, 1 in 7 children and adolescents experienced a mental illness? And 1 in 5 Australians aged 16 – 85 experienced a mental disorder? These are staggering statistics, but they’re also a call to action.

How you can get involved

The achievements in our Year 1 Impact Report are just the beginning. Mental health awareness isn’t a one-time effort—it’s a shared responsibility.

Here’s how you can take action:
